Flower Mound Wildflower Photography– Summer brings a heatwave, but it also brings vibrant blooms to lift our spirits.
As our globe is in an unimaginable struggle, this poem brings comfort and smile. I found joy in reading texts that take me to a different time.
I feel the wind swaying me back and forth, as if it is calling
me. “Come with me, oh sweet wildflower. Let the world see your
beauty, while you see the beauty of the world.”
I want to touch the mountains. I want to sing with the sky. I
want to hear the wind saying,
“Look, I told you it was beautiful.” I want to dance with it,
as it carries me everywhere. -Mary Bolton
While Texas is known for bluebonnets in spring, there is also a vast variety of wildflowers that follow bluebonnets. In fact, all through summer various flowers pop up one after another as the rainfall and temperatures shift through the season. Each phase is a delight! It brings happiness in the midst of somewhat unbearable temperatures that sizzle North Texas in June, July, and August. The promise of wildflowers and pools bring me delight during the summer months!
Another delight of being a photographer is I have the joy of seeing clients through the years. This fella has been in front of my camera for three seasons now! He spends spring or summer in Texas with his grandparents. His mom always jumps at the chance to get him photographed in Texas’s well known wildflowers! In the past, we have always used bluebonnets, however this year we made a change! These yellow black eye susans are so vibrant and joyful!
Bluebonnet season is always a fun tradition, however, these gorgeous blooms of orange, yellow, purple, and more are convincing me to enjoy these lovely varieties! The blog features sessions in all types of lovely flowers from spring to summer. Be sure to take a look! One day I hope to venture to Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center during peak season!
