Argyle Family Portraits

Argyle Family Portraits – Photographing new families is always a pleasure. It is so delightful to meet people in the photography profession. An important part of photographing families requires making a connection with the family at the first introduction. It’s essential to help them feel at ease and ready to have a pleasant portrait session. If needed, I take time to warm up to the children and let them be themselves. Sometimes younger children need additional time to decompress before I approach them for portraits. Depending on the children, I may start with photographing the family first. If some children are nervous, then I will first photograph an older sibling. It’s important for younger children to adjust to the situation. They may need to explore the location. Often times I encourage the children to smile by having the parents tickle and playfully interact with them. This inspires genuine joy – the ultimate goal of photography.

Many clients seek guidance about clothing options for their portrait session. I recommend wearing clothes that will compliment the design aspects and colors schemes in your home. That way, your portraits will display beautifully on the walls. Many clients find the wardrobe guide to be especially helpful! I recommend several places for shopping such as: Altar’d State, Francesca’s, Old Navy, and Banana Republic.

Jennifer is a family portrait photographer in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex. She serves cities such as Coppell, Flower Mound, Grapevine, Southlake, Colleyville, Argyle, Irving, Lewisville, and Highland Village.
