Family Photographer Tampa / St. Petersburg Florida
Busy season was fantastic, and it came to a close. With more time on my hands to creatively edit, I visited this beach session I photographed in Florida last summer. I am a native Floridian. It takes about one year for me to yearn for my home state of balmy air and salty water. As a family, we try to visit at least once a year. This time I commemorated my daughter’s birthday. She wanted a time set aside just for her and mom on the beach!
Year after year, the beach never seems to lose its captivating magic. The powdery white sand and rhythmic waves have imprinted my mind. It’s a travesty to admit, when I lived in Florida, I never fully appreciated the beach! My fond memories of childhood include skin dotted with sand, salt kissed wavy hair, a deep tan, and the scent of coconut sunscreen. As an adult, I still crave these things! Now especially, I am glad to help my children create these memories too!
The beach is one of my favorite places for photography. Ironically, the harsh environment is what entices me to the challenge. From day to day beach lighting and coastal conditions fluctuate, creating a never know exactly what you’ll get environment! This is great for photography, because every session is different! An artist loves variety. While I am based in Dallas Fort Worth Texas, I am eager to expand to sunny Florida. March 2021, I will be in South Tampa. The following dates are open for booking: March 12, 14, and 15. Locations include Cypress Point Park, Hyde Park, Curtis Hixon Park, and beach requests.
