Dallas Family Photographer | Bentley + Lace Project Compassion Meets Team Knight

Dallas Family Photographer Partners with Team Knight and Bentley + Lace

Elizabeth Copeland of Bentley + Lace offers her couture handmade dresses for creatives to come together and offer their time and talent as a way to give back to others with Project Compassion. The Knight family truly deserves this honor of an evening of dressing up and photographing their family in the now. I was so pleased the Knights wanted to receive this gift of a photo session.

The Knights’ Story

There is nothing normal about living with brain cancer. In 2010, Brandon Knight at the age of 30 received the diagnosis that he had a grapefruit sized brain tumor. His first task was to stand at his wife, Rachel’s, car window to deliver the news to her and their then 10 month old son Asher. An initial surgery that lasted over 14 hours has led to years of repeated chemotherapy, radiation, inpatient and outpatient physical therapy and more MRIs than anyone can count! Since 2010, Brandon and his family have overcome incomprehensible odds and they stand today as a family of four, after adding a daughter (Banner) in 2014 as a beacon of light with a message of hope. They have hope that does not disappoint during the darkest hours of an incurable disease. Hope leads them to press on no matter how difficult the circumstance. As a family, they know that the only way to walk is together. They know sacrificing for each other and serving each other as well as serving others is just part of the daily routine. They know that somehow, all of THIS is not just about a brain tumor!
