Dallas Wildflower Photography – One afternoon I was at the park with my daughter and noticed a beautiful blanket of yellow in the distance. I coaxed her to take a little walk with me to discover what we saw! To my delight it was a beautiful field of wildflowers! It was late in summer, so I was really surprised to stumble on them. I think they are black eyed Susans or cone flowers. Maybe they are the same?? Usually, everything is burnt to a crisp and a bland shade of brown this time of year.

These two sweet peas are cousins. One mama told the other mama about the flowers. I am so glad they both had a chance to have adorable portraits! I brought my vintage quilt along. A good antique quilt is always great for just about every type of session, especially wildflowers! I am adding to my collection of quilts. One can NEVER have enough.

This is a before and after image of a photo from the session. There is a noticeable difference in the warmth between the two photographs. Also, the shadows on the girls face are lifted. The overall color tones are richer and more vibrant. It is always a journey of where a photograph ends up after editing. Photographers are artists.
