It’s a spring fever. That is what the name of it is. And when you’ve got it, you want to — oh, you don’t quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so!

Spring time in North Texas is so stunning – from a brown barren landscape, to everything bursting with color! Grapevine Botanic Garden showcases the grandeur of springtime. The trees blossom and grow green leaves. The shrubs bloom in all sorts of lovely colors. The flower beds have seasonal blooms from tulips to lilies to hydrangea. The winding paths lead to hidden park benches, fountains, and koi ponds. Little bridges cross a trickling creek lined with ivy meandering along the ground and climbing up tree trunks. Squirrels hurry across the grass and birds sing their sweet song. It’s such a peaceful place hidden in a quaint town.
The garden is such a wonderful place for morning photography especially during summer time! It is often much cooler in the shade of the trees! It’s a great location for a family with small children as well as maternity portraits and milestone photography. I noticed the little ones are memorized by the multitude of flowers as well as all the tiny creatures and bugs crawling on the ground! The kids are simply amazed! In fact, the toddler at this session held a small rock and then a pill bug in her hands during the pictures!
After pictures at the gardens, venture to the playground nearby! Then eat brunch at Main Street Bakery or get an ice cream treat at Kilwin’s!

This sweet girl is so excited to start kindergarten in fall! I can’t believe I have been photographing her since she was about four months old! I love seeing my clients grow and change over the years! It’s such a blessing to photograph their special memories.
