Portrait Photography DFW- Year in Review 2019
So many wonderful experiences occurred this past year! My hope is that every year brings new opportunities, and 2019 definitely brought many adventures.
To start, I helped launch the Flower Mound Lakeside magazine’s first three issues by providing the front cover photography. This was exciting because, in my mailbox I received a printed material that I helped create! I also met notable people in the Flower Mound community.

Texas wildflowers are some of my favorite photography sessions. These beautiful blooms start appearing in late March. Different varieties emerge from March through July. Bluebonnets bloom first, followed by Indian Paintbrushes, and then black eyed Susans. If you are interested in wildflower sessions, I start posting about them in February / March! They go fast!

High school seniors! This year I photographed several seniors whom attended the elementary school where I taught! I even taught one of the seniors I photographed! It is hard to believe that much time has flown by! I know it is a trite saying, but it is so true. Time does fly!

Sun, sand, and salty air! I traveled to my home state of Florida to visit family and friends. While there I captured beach sunset sessions. Each evening the sky brings something new and beautiful. Also, the adrenaline gets going because most summer afternoons bring thunderstorms. They quickly pass and leave a vibrant sky in their trail.

Hear comes the bride! Yes, I expanded my wedding portfolio! Weddings are so fun to photograph. I love witnessing and documenting the stream of emotions at these events. Photographing the first look and bride and groom portraits are my favorite. Such raw feelings evolve from these moments.

Back to school sessions were a hit! Many kindergarten parents captured their child getting ready to start their school journey!

Starting in September, I began photographing “fall” sessions! This was a wonderful season filled with return clients as well as many new ones! I held designated dates for mini sessions, and also kept busy with full sessions. September through November is the busiest time of the year. I am so grateful to all the families who trusted me!

December slowed down, so I had an opportunity to photograph my own children. We even visited the very best Santa “Pappy” Clause in Plano. In addition, I photographed a sweet newborn baby, daughter of a female pastor. I am so in awe of watching this young mother and preacher set an example for women in leadership.

Looking at 2020
Here are some things to look for in the year to come!
Wildflower sessions are popular. The bluebonnet season lasts about two weeks! Start booking this in February/ March.

Fall portrait sessions are the biggest hit and sell out by October. Please contact me starting August to reserve your first choice date.

Back to school sessions occur in August. I usually only reserve a handful of sessions for these.

Senior portraits are great during the months of September through November, which means they compete with fall portraits! Spring senior photography is great from March through early May.

Weddings, bridal, and engagement sessions are open throughout the year. Contact me for details.

With the most sincere and heartfelt gratitude, I thank each and every client from 2019. Your business does not go unappreciated. Please spread the word about Jennifer Carley Photography. Referrals are the best!
