Fabrication Yard Senior Portraits
Senior Portraits at the Fabrication Yard in Dallas, Tx. Class of 2021 senior portrait photography.

The Fabrication Yard in Dallas, Texas was the perfect fit for this senior! She knew her style very well! The wardrobe, hair, and makeup were a great look for the funky, creative, and vibrant location. This property is open to the public to create their murals. At every turn, there is an eye catching creation, some are fascinating and some not so much! With every visit to this location, the graffiti will change. It is constantly evolving into different creations. We only spent an hour here, but if one has a lot of time, you could easily spend a few hours observing all of the work. At times, it was like looking at a visual search puzzle, with each knew glance, different piece of work is noticed. The property has been available for “free art” since 2011. Through the years, layers and layers of graffiti has been painted on the old industrial building walls.

The Fabrication Yard is located in the Oak Cliff neighborhood. If planning photos here, I do recommend taking a few extra people to be the eyes of your shoot. They can help discover a unique wall, but also watch the surroundings while the photographer takes pictures. There are many people coming and going through the property, with lots of hidden spots. It’s best to have an alert person to be aware of the surroundings.
Tips for planning a senior high school portrait session:
I recommend determining the senior’s style. Easy ways to do this are to pin favorite outfits on Pinterest. Select, formal to casual outfits. Next look for location inspiration and pin those onto your board. Use these inspiration photos to plan your wardrobe and also share the board with your photographer. This will help the photographer envision your photo session and choose the best location.
