Fall Family Portraits TWU Gardens in Denton, Texas
Almost one year ago this sweet mother contacted me to schedule family portraits once her baby was about six months old. The time came for photos, and the Texas summer was blazing in the 100’s making outdoor portraits unbearable with small children. We rescheduled to fall portraits, and it was such great timing! The fall leaves at TWU Gardens were in full show. Every tree was a spectacle! Enough leaves had fallen on the ground to create a magical fall setting. While the session was pretty cold, the family managed well with hiding layers under their clothing! The sun peaked through the trees creating gorgeous sun flares and beams of light. The clear day really added a wonderful touch to the vibrant fall scene.
The little baby was a bit stoic during the chilly photo session. The parents did a great job of singing his favorite sings, bringing some of his favorite toys, and also having a playful attitude with him! We got some happy smiles from him!

Visit the Gardens in Spring
The gardens offer beautiful Texas wildflowers from May through June. The variety of flowers attract many butterflies! It’s a fun place to take your children for classic Texas wildflower portraits. You will see a flower of every color! Then walk over to the pond that has large floating lily pads! The large lily pads always amaze visitors.
