Grapevine Lifestyle Newborn Photographer
Oh what a pleasure it was to photograph this sweet baby boy and his family! A few years ago I photographed their newborn daughter. It’s so wonderful to come back to see how their family has grown! What a special time to cherish forever.
When I photograph a newborn session, I bring along some props such as the Moses basket and a few swaddles/ blankets. Mostly, I love to include important mementos the family has received as gifts or have been passed down through the generations. The mother loved my Moses basket, so we made sure to use that again! Otherwise, we included outfits and swaddles the family had.
Reasons to Have a Newborn Session
Some parents might be unsure if they want a newborn portrait session. Money might be tight after having a baby and from taking time off from work. My recommendation is to set aside some funds beforehand or ask a grandparent to gift a portrait session. These newborn sessions are special because they capture your tiny baby in the first few weeks of life. It’s an opportunity to have your entire family photographed together. The mother will be in the pictures. Let’s be honest, sometimes the moms are always the ones taking pictures, so this guarantees that mom can be included in these special portraits. Even if mom feels tired, not feeling her best, or is self conscious about her post baby body, it is STILL a wonderful idea to have newborn portraits taken. I take time to capture all family members at flattering angles to help everyone look their best. Your children will look at these portraits with love.
