Intimate family weddings with closest friends and family present are becoming my all time favorite type of wedding to photograph! The simplicity of these events really showcases the loving relationships the guests have with the wedding couple.

This winter wedding took place at the parent of the bride’s home. It was decorated elegantly with white florals and sparkling tea lights draped in the backyard as well as candles inside. Their ceremony was poolside with candles floating in the pool. Guests surrounded the couple as they shared their wedding vows and exchanged rings. It was such a sweet ceremony with the groom’s brother officiating. Afterward, the guests celebrated with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and a plated meal. The night concluded with a mock send off including sparklers!

I was completely in love with the bride’s elegant wedding gown. The sleeves draped perfectly. The neckline was elegant, and the lace detailed back of the dress was so stunning! It’s such a classic style!

When I photograph weddings, I make sure to be out of the guests’ view as much as possible! To do this I use a telephoto lens that zooms in on the couple, yet I am still far away! This allows for excellent privacy during the ceremony, but also gives excellent pictures that are up close! Additionally, I use a second camera with a wide angle lens to show a full view of the experience. I never want to be the photographer who is constantly up in front obstructing the view of others. I personally edit the images and never outsource this to anyone. Your edited images will have true to life vibrant colors that will always stand the test of time. They are not trendy edits or angles. They are vibrant, colorful images that you’ll be proud to display for many years to come!
