Twenty Fifth Anniversary and First Communion

This lovely family, along with their close family and friends, gathered at Mater Dei Latin Mass Parish to celebrate their 25th Wedding Anniversary and their daughter’s first Holy Communion. What a blessed night to share. Their friend, Father Sanchez, flew into town to celebrate the Mass with them.

Anniversary Mass

This is a special tradition in the Traditional Latin Mass, where married couples may have a Mass celebrated for their anniversary and receive a blessing. Following the Mass, a reception usually follows. It is a momentous event that rightly commemorates their wedding day years ago.

A Family Affair

Three out of the six sons served as altar boys for the Mass. One of their son’s played the organ and snapped some cool photographs from the choir loft located at the back of the church.

First Holy Communion

The pinnacle of the Mass is Communion. On this particular night, their youngest child and only daughter received the Eucharist in First Holy Communion. These photos are so endearing and emotional! The parents had a first-hand view of their sweet girl.

Family

What a wonderful family to know personally and experience this special event in their life. I am thankful for the opportunity to not only attend the anniversary Mass and First Communion, but also document it for them to cherish in the years and generations to come.
