Rockledge Park Sunset Proposal Session

Even though I live so close to Rockledge Park, I would walk to it, I haven’t photographed sessions there until this past year! Its stunning views of Grapevine Lake attract hikers, cyclists, fisherman, boaters, and picnickers. Recently it has drawn me near to photograph proposals with a spectacular lakefront sunsets. Each proposal is unique because the people make the magic happen, but also the sky and elements make it an ever changing location. It is never the same twice! This is evening was particularly exciting, because the sky was decorated with ripples of clouds blanketing the sky. While the lake glistening like crystals sparkling in the sun.

I often help plan the proposal spot at Rockledge. From a photography standpoint, I can suggest the best locations for breathtaking proposal photos. I’ll usually send a few pins to help select the just right spot.

Sun Flares

The golden hour lighting was so fun to experiment with this evening! Furthermore, it provided a prime moment to capture stunning sun flares. I incorporated flash photography in order to capture the vibrant sky! Stretching myself creatively in environments like this really help inspire growth in the art of photography. Doing things exactly the same each time gets boring! That’s a sign of a true creative. We get inspiration by venturing off the well trodden path of monotony.

Really, the sky this evening was so amazing! All the sun flares and beautiful clouds are from nature making Photoshop completely unnecessary to add vibrant sky details. Nature provided its art tonight.
