DFW Wildflower Family Portraits
DFW Wildflower Family Portraits – One afternoon, as I walked on the trails of this park, I came upon this beautiful patch of flowers called indian blankets. Texas is known for bluebonnets, which pop up first at the start of spring. However, many people don’t realize, Texas has a wildflower season that lasts through summer! Bluebonnets are just the beginning! Everyone’s lives have been turned upside down from their ramifications of Covid-19, including my business. Bluebonnet is season is a peak time for photographers. This year, photographers were closed during bluebonnet season. Seeing these flowers lifted my spirits! They aren’t bluebonnets, but they are so beautiful and vibrant. They remind me of the bright sunny colors of summer. Later this summer, we will see black eyed susans, cone flowers, and daisies.
With stay at home orders lifting, several families contacted me to celebrate their babies! One baby just turned one, while the other turned six months old! It is really an honor to document these families. Even though history is making a huge mark on the timeline, we still must remember to document our loved ones and cherish our times together.
“To us, family means putting your arms around each other and being there.” –Barbara Bush

Summer wildflowers are in Texas throughout May, June, and July wildflowers are in abundance. Please contact me to schedule your session!
