TWU Engagement Photography – Denton Little Chapel in the Woods

I’ll be your dream, I’ll be your wish, I’ll be your fantasy
I’ll be your hope, I’ll be your love, be everything that you need
I love you more with every breath truly, madly, deeply do
I will be strong, I will be faithful ’cause I’m counting on
A new beginnin’
A reason for livin’
A deeper meaning, yeah
-Savage Garden

What a fun portrait session this was! It was planned to be a mother’s day session. After delaying and location changes due to rain, wind, and dead flowers we finally settled on this gorgeous location at Texas Women’s University in Denton! We began the session with family portraits of this lovely couple and daughter. We went from all three in a portrait, to mom and daughter, to couple portraits. Little did I know the couple portraits would transform into marriage proposal/ engagement photos! As I was photographing the couple, the man kneeled just like slow motion. Then it dawned on me that he was proposing! What a beautiful and romantic place to propose! It was incredible. Her reaction was priceless! She thought this session was her mother’s day gift from him! This was indeed an excellent gift. It is every women’s dream to have a romantic proposal and have it photographed!

About the Location

TWU Gardens is a picturesque location with wildflower gardens, pebble walking paths, a pond with lilly pads, and a lovely white greenhouse. It attracts many photographers for its romantic appeal. Not only is it beautiful in spring, fall brings rich golden, autumn, cinnamon spice colors. The variety makes it perfect for engagement sessions. In addition, a quaint chapel, Little Chapel in the Woods is nestled on the property. Many weddings take place at the chapel. It’s a convenient location in Denton with gorgeous grounds and beautiful stained glass. I photographed several weddings here, and they were breathtaking!

This was a Scottish wedding I photographed at the chapel. Just wonderful!
