Texas weather can be brutal in the winter and summer! When difficult weather circumstances arise, I love using the Lumen Room studio! There are several locations located throughout the DFW metroplex including Fort Worth, Dallas, and Plano. We used the Fort Worth College Avenue studio during the summer heatwave with temperatures reaching above 100 for days. The Lumen Room College Avenue studio features crisp white walls, three walls of windows, as well as furniture and various props that can be used and easily moved. The natural light is beautiful in this setting. The other locations also provide white walls and furniture. The Dallas location features a studio with red brick walls and honey toned wood floors. All locations offer bathrooms and in house Alexa for clients to select music to play during their session.
During this Texas heat wave I photographed a family I haven’t seen in a few years. As time passes, I love seeing how the children have grown and changed! It’s always fun to experience that!
The next family I photographed are regulars of mine for the past five years! I have the honor of photographing their pregnancy announcements, family portraits, and newborn portraits. They were eagerly awaiting the arrival of their eighth child, a boy! It’s such a joy to document families welcoming new life.
