Flower Mound Newborn Pictures
For it was you who formed my inward parts;
Psalm 139:13
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
Flower Mound Newborn Pictures – I am so excited to share photographs I took of my own little babe. He is a precious bundle of joy that has completely blessed my family in immeasurable ways! Since I was recovering from childbirth, I took these pictures over a series of weeks when I had energy and baby was having a sleepy day. Maybe you’ll notice some slight changes in his features!
Just a Few Weeks Old
In this simple series of swaddles, he is just about two weeks old. I used some of my favorite blankets for him to lay on as I used complementary swaddle wraps made of gauze material. This is an ideal time to photograph infants because they sleep often and are still so small and flexible.

Photos in the Nursery
While I love photographing babies on decorative blankets in a swaddle, I also like to incorporate the nursery! I designed our nursery with a neutral color palate. The natural light is lovely in this room! It really lights up the atmosphere.
I always like to capture close up photos of the baby’s face. Their tiny nose and mouth are so adorable.

I like capturing close ups as well as a wide angle of room. Looking into the crib between the slats is a unique perspective. If there are small siblings I will have them peak over the rails of the crib. Window light is the main source. I turned off all the lights to avoid yellow overtones. Usually the best time for newborn pictures is around 10am to noon.

Delicate Facial Features
Capturing the intricate details of their face including eyelashes, nose, lips, and ears is so moving. These little features started developing in the mother’s womb when the baby was so tiny. It’s such a miracle that I could see his profile features at his 18 week sonogram. So incredible!

Blue is His Color
Blue tones bring out such warmth in his skin. It’s really so lovely on him! When photographing babies, it’s important to choose colors of wraps that will compliment that baby’s skin. Different colors will bring out different tones of the skin, similar to adults preferring certain colors with their complexion.

Baptismal Photos
I took a series of baptism photos with the intention to document the sweet day he was welcomed into the Church as a child of God! What a beautiful sacrament. Incorporating special clothing, heirlooms, or blankets is a special touch. Personalized props and clothing can be found on Etsy, a great source for unique options.

I captured pictures of him with our family- mom and dad, siblings, and grandparents.
