Holiday Events in DFW – Dallas Ft. Worth Family Friendly Holiday Activities
The DFW Metroplex offers a plethora of festive holiday activities perfect for the family! There are so many options that celebrate Christmas cheer, I thought I would create a list of my favorites! As a mom, I am always looking for fun family friendly experiences throughout the year! I’d love to share what I have discovered through the years of motherhood!
Holiday Cheer at Historic Downtown Attractions in DFW

Our area has so many quaint historic old town areas, I love visiting them. The nostalgia of brick lined Main Streets is so fun!
- Downtown Grapevine Christmas Capital of Texas offers amazing light features at night. Catch opening night with the grand light parade! Stroll down Main Street to enjoy all of the festive lights and decorations. This offers so many cell phone photo ops! Stop in at one of my favorites to grab a bite to eat: Piaf Mediterranean cuisine, Chez Fabian French Bistro, or Kilwins Ice Cream.
- Old Town Lewisville is a hidden gem with a quaint brick Main Street lined with locally owned mom and pop shops such as The Perc Coffee House and Old Town Wine House. This area truly gives the small town feel as many shop owners collaborate with one another! Walk to the open area park, Wayne Ferguson Plaza, to view the larger than life Christmas tree, and sip hot chocolate near the waterfront boardwalk lined with white twinkling lights! The Plaza hosts many festive events such as breakfast with Santa, holiday concerts, open air maker markets, and the Christmas Parade.
