This family totally rocked their fall family photos. With the elegant Tuscany setting of Mandalay Canal Walk, they decided to create formal family photographs. I am in love with the red gown! No one can go wrong with a red dress! The boys looked great in cognac and navy, one of my favorite combinations!
Even though it was cloudy, the sky provided the perfect lighting for the morning photo session. The lighting was even, with a little sun streaming through the moving clouds. These days I have become accustom to photographing sessions with rain in the forecast. If it is not raining and not too windy, the session will move forward. No matter the weather condition, I always strive to create vibrant warm photographs. Each session is a unique situation, and no two sessions are edited the same. This attention to detail helps create the signature classic, vibrant, and warm look of Jennifer Carley Photography.
One evening, the children and I rushed out the door with 15 minutes before sunset. I had in mind a quaint little park a couple of miles down the road. We pulled in just in time to capture some beautiful light. The children instantly rushed to a field of dandelions. They were in complete bliss making one wish to another as they plucked each dandelion. This provided a great opportunity for candid photography while also including the gorgeous surroundings, mainly the sky. Many of the images are angled looking up at the child to enhance the beauty of the sky. If I was not below the child, then I made to sure to be at eye level. In addition, I pulled back to capture the landscape. It was really a quick little session that turned into one of my favorites.
I had THE best time photographing this family during a sunset session at the lake. The sky was perfect that day with a couple of wispy clouds! The lake was calm, and the park was not too crowded. We found the perfect location with a mix of rocks and access to the water. This setting created a perfect backdrop for stunning family photos! Oh my gosh, how I love the different ombre colors the sky provided as the sun met the horizon.
This is a bit of a personal post about a fun birthday outing we had to celebrate my daughter. She loves rock climbing, so we worked up a sweat at Summit Gym (watching) her reach the top of many of the walls! They have a kids climb time on Saturdays. It was the best time to go, because the attendants spent special time working with the kids.
After that, we worked up an appetite for lunch! However, we had ice cream for lunch! It was not your regular scoop in a cone, but a super fun new trend called rolled ice cream at I-ce NY Dallas in Carrollton. They pour liquid cream onto a cold marble slab and shape it into rolls. Then they decorate it with the most delicious toppings.
