Southlake Photographer Spring Portraits – Texas Tulips Photography Session

We made our annual drive from Dallas to Pilot Point to visit Texas Tulips for our spring pictures! It was just as pretty as it is every year before. The spring season was delayed by several weeks, so we visited the tulips a few weeks later than we normally do. We spent time during the golden hour capturing these magical pictures. Golden hour is the sweet spot of photography about one hour before sunset. This is when the horizon has a beautiful golden glow. Everything has a beautiful warm haze. The golden hour look can also be achieved during the first hour after sunrise.

Spring is a beautiful time for portraits. The Dallas area has wonderful options for spring portraits. The blooming season starts in March and extends to June. A lovely variety of flowers bloom with tulips kicking off the season. Tulips are plentiful at the Dallas Arboretum as well as at smaller parks in the DFW metroplex.
