Spring Portraits Dallas Photographer I had such fun photographing this family on a bustling spring evening! With lots of rain leading up to our day, I had my fingers crossed the clouds would part and the sun would shine! It turned out to be a perfect evening. Grapevine Botanic Gardens was busy with an influx of family portraits as well as high school senior photography. The park is so beautiful, there are always pedestrians enjoying the beauty. Despite the busyness, we captured some amazingly vibrant and radiant photographs. They are stunning! Might I add the family coordinated their outfits very well. Right down to accessories and shoes, this family hit it out of the ball park!
Grapevine Botanic Garden is such a versatile location! It is great for senior photography as well as maternity photography. The location is beautiful through many seasons of the year from spring to late fall. Even during winter, the stone architecture and iron bridges can provide scenery perfect for photographs.
Take a look at other sessions at this location!
This maternity session was photographed in the summer time. The flowers and greenery were in full bloom.
This High School Senior Session occurred during late spring. On this night the park was swarmed with prom groups. We still managed to find great photo opportunities!

Flower Mound Bluebonnet Photography The anticipation for bluebonnet season in Dallas gradually increases as the weather becomes warmer, and the landscape turns green. This year was no different! As early as February, I started reading articles about the wildflower season. Throughout March and April I took excursions to scout out the best bluebonnet area convenient to clients, with diffused light, and plentiful blooms. Discovering this combination is tricky, as some fields become developed land while others get mowed, or bloom different from years past! Many areas south of Dallas bloomed in March. In Dallas, we waited until mid April for the blooms to flourish. Mixed in with rainy days and uncertain weather conditions, bluebonnet season requires flexibility! I am so grateful for patient clients who adjusted their schedules in order to work along with Mother Nature!
These families did a wonderful job on planning outfits! Nice job! It makes my job of photo taking much easier!
Reflecting on 2018 leaves me feeling quite proud, thankful, and fulfilled! This photography business has blossomed exponentially, and that is due to all of the wonderful clients and mentors I have met along the way! Nothing would have been possible without these people!
I took the year as an opportunity to explore a variety of photography genres from outdoor natural light to studio settings. From newborn, to maternity, from families to extended families, I experienced all forms of family photography sessions. I also ventured into high school senior portraits as well as engagement photography and assisting at weddings. This time of exploration introduced me to many wonderful people including photographers, models, and the sweetest clients!
The year has also brought accomplishments and philanthropic opportunities. I am so very thankful for making front cover of Iconic Child magazine. It was such an honor!
In addition, I have donated my time and photography to the Mercy Run organization that provides resources for families who have lost a child/ sibling. I enjoyed photographing their annual fundraiser Fun Run/ 5k/ 10K event. Giving my time to this cause is near and dear to me as I know the grief encountered with losing a sibling. I also had the pleasure of offering complimentary family photo sessions to six first responder families during the DFW 9/11 First Responder Event. It is my pleasure to invest my time in non profit organizations that connect with me deeply.
The goal for 2019 is to hone in on my specialities and further develop my art to serve my clients with the very best quality and costumer service. I am so appreciative of the fact that my clients have trusted me completely with capturing their family bonds. Preserving these moments is the most precious gift I can provide.
Cheers to 2019! May we all have a prosperous year!
Grapevine Colleyville Fall Family Photographer – Fall has been so vibrant and beautiful this year! The colors keep amazing me! Foliage was so beautiful at this park in the Grapevine Colleyville area! Not to mention my clients hit it out of the ballpark with wardrobe and color selections! My recent blog post may have helped guide their clothing choices! They all really did such a wonderful job!
The abundance of colorful oranges, reds, and browns is a rare and short lived treat in Dallas fall weather usually! A weather article explains that all the rain in September and October helped create these beautiful colors! “Dallas-Fort Worth has recorded its wettest September and October, with more than 27.21 inches combined.” While the rain was a struggle in October, I am so very thankful for the wonderful colors and fairly mild temperatures that have occurred in November!
How do sessions look for future months? I will still book full sessions throughout the year. During colder months with less foliage, I gravitate toward modern city settings as well as indoor natural light studios!
Bluebonnets are the next popular photo season in spring. Please be on the watch for posts or emails in March about bluebonnets! It is a very short window of time to capture beautiful images with our state flower.
