Spring Traditions DFW Bluebonnet Pictures Ask any Texan, and they’ll say that pictures in bluebonnets is a tradition. Bluebonnets are the Texas state flower. They bloom in open spaces along roads, highways, and in pastures in the country. Recently, it has become a bit of a scavenger hunt to find plentiful blooms in DFW. The area is continually developing, with open spaces becoming more difficult to find. It takes a lot of patience to find a dense field of bluebonnets that also has nice lighting and no obstructions.
